The Moscow Diary

"The Moscow Diary" comprises Walter Benjamin’s notes taken during his two-month stay in Moscow in the winter of 1926–1927. In this work, the author describes in detail his impressions of the Soviet capital, reflects on the cultural and political life of the early USSR, and shares personal experiences related to his relationship with Asja Lācis, who was one of the reasons for his trip.
