2666 is the final novel by Chilean writer Roberto Bolaño, published posthumously in 2004. This monumental work consists of five parts united by the common themes of violence and the mysterious murders of women in the fictional Mexican city of Santa Teresa (modeled after Ciudad Juárez). The novel explores themes of evil, literature, violence, and the chaos of the modern world, intertwining the stories of various characters—from European literary critics to an American journalist and the enigmatic German writer Benno von Archimboldi.
