Can you talk to a child about war? How do you tell them what is happening in the world right now? How do you resist school propaganda? What should you do if your child cannot adapt to life in a new country? How do you support them—and keep yourselves from going crazy in the process? The book “Love in Times of Turbulence,” published by Meduza and dedicated to the challenges of modern parenthood, helps find answers to these and many other difficult questions. It was written by Dima Zitser—an educator and host of the program on child-adult relationships “You Should Love, Not Raise.” The book is structured as a dialogue—on one side, between Dima Zitser and Belarusian journalist Nadezhda Belakhvostik, and on the other, between Zitser and his readers, viewers, and listeners. The author does not offer ready-made solutions, but he shows how to look for them.
