A Hero of Our Time

The famous psychological novel by Mikhail Lermontov, written between 1838 and 1840, is the first socio-psychological novel in Russian literature. The work tells the story of the life of officer Grigory Pechorin, viewed through the perception of different characters. The novel consists of several novellas, arranged out of chronological order, which creates a specific artistic structure.
