The novel "The Resurrected Gods: Leonardo da Vinci" is the second part of Dmitry Merezhkovsky’s trilogy, "Christ and Antichrist." The work is dedicated to the life and creativity of the great Italian artist, scientist, and inventor of the Renaissance era. The author masterfully recreates the atmosphere of 15th–16th-century Italy, examining through the prism of da Vinci’s fate the conflict between Christian values and the resurgence of pagan culture.
