The Tales of Belkin is a cycle of five short stories written by Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin in 1830. This was Pushkin’s first completed prose work. The stories are unified by a common narrator—Ivan Petrovich Belkin—in whose name the narrative is conducted. The collection includes the stories “The Shot,” “The Snowstorm,” “The Undertaker,” “The Station Master,” and “The Squire’s Daughter.”
