Angle of Repose

The novel "Angle of Repose" is one of the most famous works by American writer Wallace Stegner, for which he received the Pulitzer Prize. The book tells the story of history professor Larry Morgan and his wife, Sally, who come to visit their old friends. During this visit, the protagonist rethinks his life, marriage, and friendship, and also confronts the inevitability of change and the search for inner harmony—that very "angle of repose."
